The founder of our small company is Francesco Passarella, he was born in Puglia, graduated from the University of Salento in mechanical engineering cum laude. After Snaporaz Motor Garage he also opened another company: Snap s.r.l., that is an innovative startup that aims to overcome the problems of urban mobility and of last mile delivery. He worked for Magneti Marelli, VM Motori spa, Bosch, General Elettric and Ferrari, making available his passion for engines and engineering expertise.
Besides the obvious of making a great product, we produce all that small parts that the manufacturer refuses to sell to the public, causing the public to spend needless money and waste a perfectly good part.
This business begun in 2016, when Francesco wanted to fix his 1983 318i E30 BMW odometer to complete the restoration of my vehicle. He called all the repair shops that he could find, but no one was selling these gears.
All our gears are made by injection molding, it sounds very simple but is actually very complex and takes a very large investment to make even the smallest piece of plastic. You should imagine that every gear needs a specific mold, and to make a gear that has got the weight of 1g the mold has a weight of 100kg!
